Prior to joining Saints Chamonix, Mr. Edge spent many years working with private equity investors securing exits from individual unlisted investments or developing the value in them, in most cases as chairman of the investee company concerned. From 1977 to 1991 he was at 3i, as a director of 3i plc and chief executive of 3i's consultancy subsidiary, particularly leading the part of the business that provided turnaround and value development support to 3i's investments and those of other private equity investors. Before that he spent six years in British Leyland (motor industry) and Philips Electronics in finance and commercial roles, latterly dealing with non-UK activities.

Mr. Edge earned his masters degrees in law from Oxford and London Universities and is qualified in the United Kingdom as a Chartered Management Accountant and Chartered Secretary. In addition, he is qualified as a Management Consultant both in the UK and internationally.
